This day has been designed to identify “Light”, its source, effects and how it can work for & against us.
Please leave cameras at home to gain full benefit of the day.
Instead, we will use a 6x4 inch matt board to view through.
- GUIDED TOUR/LECTURE OF THE OLD MASTERS ART WORKS learning the similarities that exist between their medium and photography.
- VIEW A PHOTOGRAPGHIC EXIBITION OF ALFRED STIEGLITZ (1864-1946).A true visionary to recognise the power of photography as an artistic and poetic medium, the epitome of a new way of seeing.
- THE BOTANICAL GARDENS, OPERA HOUSE ,CIRCULAR QUAY,THE ROCKS AND OBSERVATORY HILL are all places we will go as we observe the light, its effects and its changes during the day. SUNSET VIEWING for anyone wanting to continue across the bridge. Watch the glow on the buildings, look for silhouettes, sparkling water.
- FISH AND CHIPS FOR DINNER MAYBE as we chat about our day and what we observed.
